6th Stakes Performer for Time Test

Sunday, 15 May 2022 04:35

Time Test sired another Northern Hemisphere stakes performer on Saturday while domestically he looks to have unearthed an exciting 2YO.

A winner of her only juvenile start last year, Love Interest (Time Test-Wild Mimosa by Dynaformer) franked an excellent fresh-up performance last month when a strong finishing third in the Listed 1584m York Oaks Fillies Stakes run on firm ground at York.

Love Interest is the 6th individual stakes performer for Time Test, who was the leading European first season sire for black type winners in 2021.

Time Test’s top priced yearling across the Australasian 2021 yearling sales, Leedox (Time Test- Bella Carolina by O’Reilly) made ground stylishly for third, after been awkwardly away, in the Matamata Veterinary Services 1200. A $220k Karaka Book 1 purchase by Bruce Perry for Lib Petagna, the Andrew Forsman trained gelding was a dual trials winner before his impressive debut.

A good-sized individual, Leedox looks well suited to further improvement.

Despite fairly limited representation Time Test was the only sire with three runners in the Karaka Million this year and he is currently NZ’s second leading first season sire behind Almanzor.

Excellence, under-pinned by a good public profile that is down to earth and friendly
