Black Type Day for LA at Flemington and Awapuni

Sunday, 15 September 2019 03:06

Parsifal, bred by LA’s valued clients John and Anne Gilbert, sold from LA’s Premier 2016 draft and purchased by Paul Moroney, ran an outstanding second in the 1200m Group 2 Bobbie Lewis Handicap at Flemington on Saturday. The Adelaide trained galloper by Darci Brahma was unbeaten in his last four starts going into his stakes debut in Flemington’s time honoured sprinting handicap but now is a genuine black type performer to keep an eye on.

On the other side of the Tasman on Saturday the Per Incanto 6YO Mauna Kea (Per Incanto-City Class Rose by City on the Hill) was his typically game self in a head bobbing finish with Herengawe (Zed-Vim by Germano) finishing second in the Group 3 Boehringer Ingelheim Metric Mile at Awapuni. Mauna Kea is Per Incanto’s 28th stakes performer.
