Ina Canta (Per Incanto-One Keen Lass by Canny Lad) made a winning debut in the two-year-old event at Trentham on Monday and in doing so highlighted his full brother (pictured left) who is LOT 575 in our Karaka Select Sale draft.

A close third in the same race, and also on debut, was the Patrick Campbell bred, owned and trained colt In Another Life (Per Incanto-La Singa by Danasinga).

Per Incanto has now left five individual winners from eight starters and will be represented by Bella Court (Per Incanto-Belle Chantecler by Redoute’s Choice) and the LA bred Dal Cielo (Per Incanto-Cent From Heaven by Centaine) in this Sunday’s Karaka Million.

Interest in the 11 Per Incanto yearlings at Karaka next week is certainly going to be intense, particularly his sole Premier entry LOT 236, LA’s half sister to triple group 1 winner Viadana (Towkay-Yeah Nah by Kinjite).

The LA bred Brah Spring (Darci Brahma-Rites of Spring by Stravinsky) who put consecutive wins together with her latest success at the Gore meeting on Saturday, hails from the same highly successful Sound Lover family as LOT 162 in our Karaka Premier draft, a stunning Darci Brahma colt from Sound Lover’s young daughter Savamour.

Nadeem (Redoute’s Choice-Candide by Sound Reason), whose first New Zealand yearlings sell at Karaka next week, followed up his Australian city winning double last week with an impressive winner in the form of Haiti (Nadeem-Ancelin by Sadlers Wells) in Victoria on Sunday.
