Nadeem Mare on Target for a Black Type Swansong

Monday, 14 September 2020 21:49

Plans for under rated mare Codecracker (Nadeem-Zenno Queen by Zeno Rob Roy) to target black-type in what is expected to be her final racing preparation look to have been well hatched after the well related mare scored over 1600m at Ellerslie on Saturday.

Raced by LA clients John and Anne Gilbert who also co bred the mare as part of the Spyglass Hill syndicate, Codecracker came with a well-timed ride by in form jockey Craig Grylls to defeat her rating 104 rivals who included last seasons Group 1 winner Tiptronic

Codecracker is half-sister to the dual stakes winner New York Minute, and their dam is a full sister to the Zabeel Classic and Auckland Cup winner Bazelle.

The six-year-old Nadeem mare, who is due to be served by Per Incanto this season, is likely to run next in the Listed Team Weallhans Matamata Cup on 10 October.
