In form Victorian trainers Troy and Leon Corstens had the benefit of insider information when they teamed-up with Lockyer Thoroughbreds to secure the Per Incanto-Anaween colt for $300,000 on the second day of the Melbourne Premier Sale.

The Melbourne based father and son training partnership train the full sister Icantoo, who but for a setback last spring, was due to target the black-type 3YO fillies events following an impressive win at her only 2YO start.

The colt, who was offered on LA’s behalf by Sledmere Stud, completes another extremely successful yearling sales season for the son of Street Cry, one which has seen him average $114,788 for 26 yearlings sold, or 7.56 times his service fee.

Time Test’s debut at Melbourne has been a productive one with the son of Dubawi selling two fillies and a colt so far for an average of $108,333. Once again it was exciting to see the quality of buyers chasing his stock with the leading Melbourne stable of Ciaron Maher and David Eustace acquiring the filly from the Pins mare Lucious Legs for $165,000.

The sale concludes on Tuesday with a further two Time Test yearlings set to be offered including LA’s filly from Pin Up Lae, offered by Noorilim Park.
