Vale The Duke of Roxburghe

Thursday, 05 September 2019 18:08

If there was an equally as greater championer of Time Test as Sam Williams and Tim Lane from the English National Stud, then it was unquestionably The Duke of Roxburghe, chairman of the National Stud, who sadly passed away in the UK last week after a long illness.

Sam worked closely with the Duke to secure the Southern Hemisphere standing rights to the son of Dubawi and quickly built a strong relationship with the owner-breeder of dual Guineas winner Attraction.

“He was easy to work with and just a really nice guy. When I realised how genuinely passionate, he was about Time Test and his faith in the horse to make a successful stallion, it really clinched it for us” commented Williams.

Here’s a link to an article which gives you a little more insight into the Duke:

The team at LA would like to express their condolences to the Dukes family and the staff at the National Stud. When that first Time Test stakes winner crosses the line you’ll know who will be looking down from above and giving you a wink.

A distinguished history
