Time Test's 4th Stakes Performer Wins Gr.3
First season sire Time Test sired his third stakes performer in the last 19 days and his fourth for the season, all from just 20 runners so far, when unbeaten colt Rocchigiani (Time Test- Ronja by El Corredor) won a Group 3 1400m event on good ground in Germany overnight NZ time.
Rocchigiani is Time Test’s 2nd stakeswinner following Tardis’s win in a listed 1000m at Newbury on 13 August. Improving filly Sunset Shiraz ran second in a Group 2 1400 race in Ireland last weekend and earlier in the season, the colt The King’s Horse’s ran third in a Group 3 after going into the race undefeated in two starts.
Ronja, the dam of Rocchigiani, is a granddaughter of Mr Greely, a son of Gone West, from a daughter of Royal Academy. Rocchigiani is bred 5m x 5m Mr Prospector and 5m x 5m, 5f Northern Dancer.
Time Test, who is fully booked for his 2021 SH season at Little Avondale, has first crop Australasian two-year-olds this season.
